Desktop Support Engineer

Arcas Technology is partnered with a leading Real Estate company based in London who are currently looking for an experienced Desktop Support Engineer to join their business on a permanent basis.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Efficiently diagnose and resolve advanced issues pertaining to network and cloud services.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Azure Active Directory (AD), Microsoft 365, Power BI, Power Apps, and PowerShell.
  • Undertake troubleshooting tasks and contribute to the administration of network systems, spanning corporate, residential, and commercial environments within the site.
  • Configure and set up laptops operating on both Windows and macOS platforms.
  • Conduct regular system patching and upkeep to ensure security and currency.
  • Offer technical support for network connectivity encompassing DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and Access Points.
  • Demonstrate a foundational grasp of cybersecurity principles while adhering to cybersecurity protocols.
  • Collaborate with the Service Desk to proactively monitor and address faults, as well as identify and resolve issues.
  • Identify opportunities for enhancing software and system capabilities.
  • Accurately maintain and update IT documentation in the established format, including technical and end-user Service documents.

 

Key Skills

  • Microsoft suite proficiency: Windows, Microsoft 365 (E3 and E5 Enterprise Mobility & Security), Power BI, Power Apps, and PowerShell.
  • Familiarity with MacOS, iOS, Android, IP Telephony, Cisco Meraki, Mimecast, and Salesforce.
  • Network expertise encompassing WAN, LAN, WiFi, VLAN, and VPN.
  • Competence in Audio Visual systems.
  • Sound understanding of Software as a Service (SAAS) solutions and their management.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ideal candidate should possess robust IT competencies, relevant professional experience, and a comprehensive understanding of industry standards and methodologies.
  • Your skill set includes adept multitasking abilities, and you approach tasks with a methodical yet creative mindset, coupled with exceptional time management and communication skills, bolstered by your solid IT qualifications.
